When You're Evil - Master plot

Hey folks! Spish here, finally getting out of zombification to do some work. So I’ve been a bit avoidant of plot details until I got everything squared away with the mods, but I do believe we are good now!

So! The 14th-22nd the Master will be sending out a signal through the tablet network that will, effectively, take over and rewrite the operations of the Extras (more details under the cut). The Extras have commands to subdue the people of the city, putting Taxon under a state of Martial Law (“Master Law”). His goal is to more send a message to the aliens that "he can make this city his" while screwing with people. Because that's always fun, right?

You'll know when the plot begins by when the Master has a post of him singing The Perfect Crime #2 and setting up/getting it underway. About mid-week will be When You're Evil and the start of the warehouse victims (again, details under the cut).

    The breakdown of the Extras:

      - The Master has control of 100-200 Extras at any given time.

      - They are by no means strong themselves, but they will use various mundane weaponry (two-by-fours, pipes, pitchforks, the Master doesn’t trust them with guns okay) to control the people.

      - The Extras under the Master's control will no longer operate the facilities they are meant to, nor will they be helpful to anyone in the city. In fact, they'll be quite the opposite, and generally make the lives of people hellish. Since there are really no laws in Taxon to enforce, the Extras will react over the smallest thing (ask if you have questions, otherwise, use your discretion? It is the Master, and he is a douche.)

      - Because of his limited control, you can easily opt out of this plot.

      * I'm not kidding about the pitchforks. You can completely blame the mods for that.

    The breakdown of the signal:

      - The signal is a low frequency sound that flows through the tablet system as a whole. It emits from every tablet in the city. It is meant to only affect the Extras; however, it is possible that others of the psychic variety will be able to pick up on it (but it shouldn’t change them over like it does the Extras, unless you’re a strange, strange person).

      - Because of it using the tablet system, pinning down its starting location is exceedingly difficult, as it sort of just circles through the network and hides the beginning point. It would be possible to stop it from transmitting for a short time in a specific district, but in the Master’s den he is constantly changing the patterns of the signal to override any outside influences on it. He will do this every 15 minutes or so, up until the point where he is dealing with the warehouse folk, and then he will only update the signal remotely when he notices a problem. Which will not be much.

      - Regular tablet communication is unaffected. Most will barely pick up on the signal transmitting through their tablet.

      - The most simplistic part of the signal can be decoded to: I am the Master; you will obey me. There are several other ‘orders’ laced together through the code of it, but trying to interpret the rest merely results in it becoming scrambled and untranslatable.

      - The signal, basically, reprograms the Extras. While they all normally have functions given to them by the aliens or whomever to perform a variety of tasks, the Master is giving them new functions, effectively writing over their old ones and making the new ones prominent, as though the functions were always a part of their daily routine.

      * If you think your character is capable of screwing with the signal, ask me. They likely can :D I just… don’t know everyone’s skillz.

      * If a character does temporarily knock out the signal, it will affect the district that they are in (Speares, Osten, Shelley, Wilde, Central). Hopefully that makes things less complicated. I hope.

    Character Specifics:

Characters exempt from the Extras: Drusilla, Angelus/Angel (he’s mindful of Dru lol), Illyria, Brigitta, Petrana, and River Tam. Orders ftw.

Characters who are in trouble: Solomon Koenig, Cordelia Chase, Godric, Bruce Wayne, Morgana, Tara Maclay, Rose Tyler, Fitz Kreiner, Donna Noble

These characters have made it onto the Master’s hitlist for one reason or another. Cordelia and Godric are because of Dru; Solomon he wants revenge on; Rose, Fitz, and Donna are companions of the Doctor; Tara is a friend; Bruce and Morgana testified against the Doctor in his trial. Mixed signals ftw.

The Extras have specific instructions to capture and subdue these people and bring them to a warehouse within the city, where the Master will show up, and depending on the discretion of players, he does plan on varying degrees of torture against these characters, with Solomon being the worst and Rose being the least (he’d prefer just forcing Rose to watch and not be able to do anything). Note: No character will be injured past the point of recovery.

Drusilla is invited. She’s allowed to call the shots on Cordelia and Godric and he’ll do whatever she pleases, really. Godric may get worse anyway though, as he'll be human. Haha.

The situation will not be broadcast, but it will be recorded, as if the trauma of finding his (the Doctor's) friends tortured wasn't bad enough. Though he might actually leak some footage to the Doctor at random intervals.

If you do not want your character involved, you can opt out. The Extras just failed royally at finding them. Or, if you’d like your character present but uninjured, they can ‘watch’ and be rendered helpless. But please, please tell me, I do not want to step over any player’s boundaries.

Otherwise, I think I have some interesting convos with players, hm?

    The Master:

      - For the first half of the plot, the Master plans on keeping low. His apartment is decked out with the equipment to run and refresh the signal, but he'll keep hidden, sort of with the impression that people will think that the change in the Extras is the doing of the aliens.

      - As always, the Master hides his location from showing on the map. This will not be changing.

      - His apartment will not be under guard. There will not be anything special about it at all, so that it will blend in as per normal. It is located in Central, not horribly far from the Sanctuary, and if all the equipment gets destroyed, the signal will completely stop.

      - The second half of the plot he will be in a warehouse located in the south-most of Osten. It likely won't be hard to find him since SOMEONE'S location will likely be transmitting, though he'll try and shut them all off.

      - There will be about 25+ Extras in the warehouse with the Master as meatshields or doing his dirty work to stop his victims from being able to beat the ever-living-shit out of the Master XD

      - He'll be Mr. Grumpypants with a huge helping of madness near the end. His drums will be incredibly painful by then.

The Master's current song list:
The Perfect Crime #2 by The Decemberists (plot opening)
When You're Evil by Voltaire (climax, or something before the warehouse dealings)
Shankill Butchers, Master Rendition by The Decemberists (screwing with Godric)
They're Coming to Take Me Away by Neuroticfish (may or may not be the end looool)

Yeah, IDK how Decemberists kept creeping in there.
