/just made Bagoas happen to Illyria. Checks that off list :D
I went through a similar phase with Cain during his first, oh, six or so months here. He was PTSD-riddled (and that sounds somehow wrong, like I'm belittling the condition, but I can't find a better word for it), and anxious and a raging insomniac who also couldn't really face (or trust) any kind of foodstuff Taxon had to offer. Add to that his reclusive streak, and you had a recipe for reluctant CR. I knew from the get go it would be a long term thing, getting him to a point where he could move forward. It's still ongoing, but he's slowly getting better and starting to seek people out, outside his very close-knit circle of trust. To borrow a phrase I used for Kat and her Party: Cain's damaged goods. He'll probably always be damaged goods, but he's not broken anymore. It's been over a year now, but it's been one helluva ride.
My point being, I've been there. Let it take however long it needs to, because first and foremost you have to rp Illyria in a way that feels IC to you. Once you get to the stage where I am with Cain today, however different Illyria's arc is, it'll all have been worth it.
