A. Name: Fairweather Rhoslyn Giles B. Zodiac Sign and/or Hogwarts House: Hawthorn C. Circumstances of Conception: Apparently in some circles, being an 'infamous' Watcher holds more cache than being a founding member of Pink Floyd (and the fact that the former is true certainly holds more weight than an old and admittedly formed-in-alcohol lie). Giles is never assigned to work with Enfys on a professional level, which is for the best because there are some things the Council just won't stand for, and Giles is prone to losing his job frequently enough as it is. Slayers and Watchers can't help but be drawn together in some manner, though, and when your whole life is focused on saving the world you take the comforts Fate deigns to throw your way. In retrospect they could have been a little more careful, but the baby is tiny and beautiful and perfect, and if Giles worries that he's too old for raising a child, he hides it behind a deep pride that someday there'll be a fourth generation of Watchers to carry on the family legacy. Three Random Facts -1- They give in and let Rose sign up for toddler martial arts after he finds her trying to copy her mother's training workout on a stuffed bear. -2- Giles is, as to be expected, the MOST indulgent father ever, and Enfys is the disciplinarian in the family. Rose is aware of this and does her level best to always ask daddy first. -3- At 16, Rose realizes all hopes of ever being able to properly rebel as a teenager are dashed, as there's almost nothing left to do that one or the other of her parents hasn't already done.
Also I'm imagining a Giles/Keel wedding, ftr, and it's the most hilarious thing in the world if only for the fact that I really really need there to exist a world where Giles has a bachelor party.
I officially love that for a first name now, ngl. She probably changes it back to that after she gets old enough, even though her parents were all NO IT WOULD BE CRUEL TO SADDLE A BABBY WITH A NAME LIKE THAT.
Also that would be the funniest thing ever. Giles would just be torn between excitement over the prospect of getting married, fear over the prospect of getting married, and the horrifying certainty that there will be strippers at his party.
HOW DID IT EVEN HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE i bet someone wasn't thinking straight. I LOVE IT.
Meanwhile Enfys is like 'hen's night is a terrible name for anything, I too shall have a stag do, AND I AM TOTALLY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THE INCLUSION OF STRIPPERS' because she has a healthy appreciation for the female form.
On the upside this probably means the incriminating pictures of her are worse than his.
GILES LOVES HIS GRAN, OKAY? IT COULD HAVE BEEN EDNA, YOU KNOW.
True, the pictures would be more incriminating, but whereas Enfys' friends are probably like "lol Enfys", Giles' are more like "AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA GILES". Plus you know he embarrasses more easily.
He suggests Enfys have the stag do and he'll have...a nice luncheon.
