meme :: would you rather...?

[1] Post your characters.
[2] Other characters comment to yours and ask situational questions -- e.g. "What would you do if I asked you out?" or "What would you do if you knew I was lying about this?"
[3] Your characters respond honestly to these "what if"s with what they would do.
[4] ???
[5] Profit.

To start, I would sincerely hope you'd explained a few things beforehand.

I would...be nice. Not charming, because that would seem insincere, I think; charm is for more normal situations. I wouldn't expect them to be nice back- cordial, yes, but otherwise it's awkward.

No, I mean, how would you respond to the question?

I'll work on that.

That's ominous. All right, then.

Well, I was kidding, but yes, a little! The idea of meeting your parents makes me nervous, given the givens, and so does the level of seriousness it implies.

I would, though, if you asked.

Nervous is fine. Nervous is perfectly normal. I'd be terrified, frankly, my mother is a devil. It's just the surprise that I need to do something about.

I think my surprise would be pretty warranted, what with the--everything, so I'm interested in seeing what you do there.

I'm assuming some time and situational changes would occur before anyone even thought about anyone else's parents.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I guess it's kind of pointless to consider here.
