Yes indeed, it has been a while since April. ...two months, in fact. So here we are with another HMD. It would be awesome if everyone participates!

I love your Hercules. His thread with Kon was so much fun, and generally whatever he does makes me laugh. He's almost entirely spot on. However, there is one thing I've noticed you do, and I can understand why you do it since it is what Marvel does for Thor, but it has grated on me a little because of this panel from Incredible Herc #131.

So yeah, you might want to cut back on the thee's and thou's. Besides that, keep up the good work!

I totally get what you're saying, and when I reread that panel a couple weeks ago, I definitely cut back on the bad middle English with Herc (in comparison to how he was in his first couple posts), and I'm still making sure to only do it a little, and not a lot.

But I just want to point out it's not just what they do for Thor. Before Pak's series, Herc was just as thee and thou (http://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/1953518.html)-tastic. Heck, his big line in Civil War is 'Thou art no Thor'.

Valid point, and one I did know, though I haven't read much of the pre-Pak/Van Lente. I just knew yours was from that era and wanted to point it out, but now that you mention it, it's much more something I've noticed in the past than recently anyway, so carry on.

Erm, which is not to discount what you're saying, just it's been me trying to wrestle with consolidating Pak's interpretation with the Herc of the rest of canon and if you think I'm better off just dropping the Ye Olde, then maybe perhaps I should.

Agh! You replied while I was replying! I'd probably try to drop it all together, but the Pak/Van Lente stuff is pretty much the only interpretation I know, and I understand your reasoning for wanting to do otherwise. So... up to you!
