folks like them on the job from nine to five

The aliens are still very sorry about that little mess with Old Taxon. Really, their mistake, and they feel just awful.

So, in recompense, they've decided to make your stay here in their own spin on Hotel California a little more pleasant. (Sure, you can never only leave when they get bored with you, but they care! Surely it's the thought that counts.)

In the spirit of that love and attention, there's a host of newly programmed people in the City. Uniform clad and brightly smiling, they're here to supply the citizens of Taxon with all the comforts of a five star hotel!

...Or, that's their intention. However, with their usual somewhat less than precise interpretation of things, here there be shenanigans. Instead of leaving a mint on every citizen's pillow, citizens will awake to find their pillows are mints. Giant, pillow sized mints. (Or whatever pillow-like object that citizen happens to lay their head on.) Their usual head-resting fair will be neatly stacked away in a closet, on top of a dresser, etc, waiting for them to swap it back.

In addition to the aliens' spin on 'mints on a pillow', every character will find continental breakfast awaiting them each morning; danishes, slightly stale Froot Loops, ice cold milk, and plenty of coffee. As an added bonus for Taxon's vampires: that red filling in your danishes? Well, let's just say it isn't fruit flavored, and the carafe accompanying it ain't full of hot java.

This will go on for a week before ending as suddenly as it began, and citizens in the meantime might hear the squeak of wheels just out of view or catch a flash of bright red or blue or pink piped with white uniforms out of the corner of their eye every so often until the week is up.
