HOW'S MY DRIVING: PLAYER EDITION
Time again for the triumphant re-return of the HMD!
Please comment here with the names of the characters you play and others will reply with their feedback- and it's obviously a given that this feedback will be helpful, constructive and respectful. Also, as amazing as getting ILU comments is, it's nice to hear why and what we're doing right just as much as criticism needs to be constructive. Participation is also entirely optional, and if you have any issues just let a mod know and we'll help out as much as we can.

I'm feeling really unsure about the voices for Loki and Mattie especially, so ANY suggestions/concrit would be awesome.

Nooooooooo okay. Bear with me, my brain's still all CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!!!
I'll take 'em one by one.
Loki: I know you worry about his voice sometimes, but holy god dude. I adore your Loki, I think you strike the absolute perfect balance between his trolly fuckheadedness and the very serious issues (and years) he's packing. His threads are by far some of my very favorite to stalk, even if they have no bearing at all on any of my characters. He's a true delight, no lie.
Mattie: REALLY NOW, WHY THE DOUBT. I am just... floored at how well you play her. True Grit's got the ~hillbilly Shakespeare~ thing going down, as the Coens put it; you have managed to capture that... stilted lyricism just wonderfully. Her tags are so amazing to read, and I can pretty much see the faces she's making, even without the help of icons. I like how you manage to blend the futuristic elements of Taxon itself with Mattie's very, very old fashioned sensibilities and never lose who she is as a character. (And on a self-centered side note, she and Damon make me crack up.)
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaadrian: UM EPIC? No, seriously. For such a new muse you've taken to his voice so, so very well. I AM IN AWE AND HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER BUT PSC 4LYFE.

Um, what can I possibly say to all of that except ADSKFLJDSKLFAJ THANK YOU. You know I'm still feeling things out with all of them and I just....fffff, idk, Mattie's voice especially is hard work for me, and I guess when they don't feel like they're coming naturally then I worry. (And I have been unsure whether Loki is actually balanced or kind of all over the place, so that makes me feel a lot better.)

I think Mattie is def one of those characters who takes work, but for what it's worth it looks effortless on your part, at least from this end. And ffffffffffff lol Loki should be somewhat all over the place, ADD freak he is. :P

I love characters with unusual speech patterns, as you know. If she really is coming off as sounding natural, then YAAAAAY because that's the best compliment I could ask for. ♥
Also since I left it out of my last comment, ngl I ADORE Mattie and Damon, they crack me up so much.

I have nothing to say about Mattie, sorry; I don't know the character and haven't stalked her enough over here, soooo I can provide no crit or adoration of any kind. But your Loki is similarly fantastic; you get that whole snarkfest and intentional mind-fucking/Devil's Advocate fascination that is his worldview and general core-of-being, but you still manage to work in the fact that he's seen just about everything and GETS the way things work. It's a balance not many people seem to be able to strike consistently in ANY character that has that kind of dichotomy, so my hat is off to you. I LOVE the radio show, it's just so...HIM.
I'M SORRY THERE IS NO CONCRIT HERE, ONLY LUFF. I am terrible at finding faults. :/

Adrian Adrian Adrian. I cannot get enough! I'm so happy that my picking up Dan ended up being the catalyst for this madness! Like I've said before, it's super interesting for me to play two entirely different characters who interact with him. I get to see firsthand so many different sides of him, which is entirely delightful with such a layered character. He has a genuine friendship and camaraderie with Dan and a... I have no idea what the fuck it is with Lex. But I know I like it. The constant push and pull of power plays, manipulation, and respect is so much fun. This is the guy that just destroyed New York 35 minutes ago and you make him very real. Also echoing the PSC FOREVAH!

Loki! Another roommate buddy! I admit that I haven't seen Dogma in forever and you don't know True Blood at all but we still vibe like peas and carrots! Loki is loads of fun but also has much more to him than just "lol
BatmanRatdude." It's easy to write off someone like Loki as one note and you don't at all, taking a more difficult but satisfying path in his characterization.Mattie's canon is new to me so I am not as acquainted with her in my media brainspace but from what I've seen I think she is rad. The only thing I would suggest is have her poke at more people, which I realize might be hard to do. A+ on her collecting alcoholics.
