Ad blocking and you~
So, there was talk of very strange and unwanted LJ ads involving goths and phallic thermometers (idk idk) in chat today and I figured I'd share all the adblocking stuff I have with y'all.
First, you'll need Firefox. Then, download the extensions Adblock Plus and Greasemonkey.
With Greasemonkey, install the following scripts from UserScripts.org:
Those should take away the ads on plus accounts and remove the big blank space they leave. Also, with Adblock Plus, you can right click and block single images when people post things you either don't want to see or that kill your flist.
OTHER NIFTY STUFF INCLUDES:
ETA2: I JUST REMEMBERED, for the skin, it's not set for resolutions below 14 hundred something. I forgot because I went in and changed some values myself. If you use it, let me know and I'll help you edit the style so that it works for you. /end ETA
I think that's about it. If I missed anything that you have, let me know and I'll edit it in.
Other than that, enjoy. ♥
ETA: Now with more add ons!
After more chat discussion, MORE ADD ONS:
ETA3: RETURN OF ETA THIS JUST IN- The new version of Firefox on the above linked download page is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MOST ADD ONS. Use this download of 3.0.11 until I can either find 3.5 compatiable updates for these add ons, or add ons that are similar and will work in 3.5. ♥
ETA 7/08/09: Coast is clear, everything works. If the DS link above won't work, go here and download it. Also, if you want to just go down the list and add things, I made a collection page on Mozilla. Hopefully that'll make installing things go faster.

- LJ Login, let no LJ rper be without.
- Livejournal Addons, with comment unfolders. (It's interface is kind of confusing, so if you have problems with it just ask and I'll do what I can to help.)
- Deepest Sender, where you can log in with multiple accounts and post without having to use LJ's web posting interface. It also autosaves in case Firefox crashes.
- Greasemonkey Script: LJ New Comments, which is helpful when finding new tags in a busy post.
- Stylish, for making everything prettyfied.
- LiveJournal - Cocoon Skin (Homepage Extra Lite)
- LiveJouranl - Cocoon Skin (Nav & Footer Lites)
- LiveJournal - Cocoon Skin (Profile Lite)
- LiveJournal - Cocoon Skin (Site)
- LiveJournal - Cocoon Skin (Vector Decorations)
