...a not-so-triumphant return.

Ahem, hi, Taxon. Been a little while, huh? So, I had to pause glitch Kat here for November due to travel plans and then I just... didn't bring her back due to feeling all blah-y about her for a while and then LJ started its antics. But I'm getting back into gear now - better late than never, hey? So expect Katherine to pop back into Taxon today!

I see there is a lot of new players in Taxon I haven't met. So: hello, everyone! My name is Ebs, and I play Katherine Pierce here from The Vampire Diaries. She's a 500-year-old bitchy little vampire vamp out to cause trouble. That's what she does when she gets bored, I'm afraid.

Looking forward to getting back in the swing of things, hope everyone had a good Christmas or December 24th/25th! ♥

They're like Kardashians that way -- no matter when you think they're all gone, one pops right back up :D

I do have to ask -- what's been the policy (in character) in the past in regards to Slayers and non-Whedon vampires? Are they able to be sensed?

Hmm, I think with the last Buffy and TVD vampires (not so sure about other kinds of vamps) the deal was that they don't ping the Slayer senses like Whedon vampires do. TVD vampires are very alike regular humans physiologically, they have a heartbeat and they do need to breathe. And they can eat/drink human foods. Basically, their bodies work like that of a normal human as long as they keep a steady diet of blood, otherwise they start to desiccate. The only difference is that they feel cool to the touch, hence why they drink coffee to get the caffeine rush that warms up the skin.

I haven't yet publicly revealed Katherine to be a vampire, but that was my intention before my hiatus so it will likely happen soon!

That makes sense, and I'll happily go with that. Would she ping for them, or do they even have that sort of sense?

I'm still wending my way through Season 1 of TVD -- I have to say, the reveal of who Katherine was was a surprise to me :) But a good one! I'm enjoying the hell out of the show.

Nah, TVD vampires don't really have that kind of sense since they don't really have vampire slayers, at least nothing like the Slayers in Buffy. However, Katherine does know what Buffy is -- earlier this year when we had Angel, Katherine chummied up to him when he was glitched into Angelus, and he happily told her what the Slayers are and what they're capable of. So, once Katherine realizes Buffy's back, she might poke at her a little if she gets bored enough. There might be some plotting potential there? I think Buffy would be able to tell all is not as seems with Katherine just by the way she acts sometimes. Willow already suspects something's up, and Drusilla, Jenna Sommers and Mick St. John know the truth about her.

Yay, another person getting into TVD! :D It's a good show, especially during S1 and most of S2, but I haven't been as enchanted with S3. Still good, but not as good as the first seasons, imo. But the characters are lovely, I do enjoy them. Especially Katherine, she can be such a HBIC, lol.

Perhaps around a holiday party, perhaps? Buffy will be going, if nothing else to find all of these people preferably all in one place.

One thing I'm liking about TVD is that Elena is smart, and able to stand up for herself.

Also, Ian Sommerhalder. Goodness, that man plays evil QUITE well.
