AROUND THE CITY
→ Weather/atmosphere: Ah, March. In like a lion, out like a lamb, with a lot of stabbing emperors and drinking green beer in the middle (okay not so much with the stabbing). Once the big glitch is over the remainder of the month will be as close to Taxon-default normal as possible as we head for April and the third anniversary of the project’s launch.

The weather is remaining synced with temperate Batumi, Georgia, with the promise of a lovely start to spring.

→ Freebies: With the month starting off with horrors, the aliens are once again supplying the population with free alcohol to compensate. Yes, this goes for the aforementioned cliche and culturally tone-deaf green beer for St. Patrick’s Day. Speaking of: the rivers, lake, and all the fountains in the city will be dyed green as well.


Hellacious Haunted Holo Horrors
As outlined here, the excessive code-mucking from last autumn is finally coming home to roost in some truly disastrous ways. While the aliens will be working to repair the damaged code, it is going to be up to the citizens to escape back to the city they know and hate.

When they do, they’ll get a look at some of their captor’s secrets. Details to follow as the plot unfolds!

Bagoas

Previously: He arrived! And talked to some real helpful people under some serious duress and shock. He made friends with a nobleman, a young man with hair like fire, and a Voice speaking Greek.

And then he got to meet aforementioned helpful nobleman, who literally carried him home and set him up in a nice room.

That's it. A recap will come in the form of massive post to the Hellacious Haunted Holo Horrors (lol keri) event.

Glitch Plans: Bagoas will be getting a relatively smooth ride through this plot. He'll be tricked by badcode!Ptolemy and subsequently be charged with regicide. He'll escape, and be chased by really very angry Macedonians and Greeks and Persians.

He might get a nasty visit from his dead father as well, but we'll see.

There'll be a lot of running around and hiding from the angry mob, much like a protagonist might do in a Japanese horror vid game like Haunting Ground. With the exception that he doesn't panic quite so easily.

Also: A dramatic rescue in the nick of time byyyyyyyyyyy Party! :D This must happen!

And bumping into Jenna, and anyone else who wants a brief encounter before he has to go running again.

Oh, and Tri? Briar + war zone hijinks with Martha and Bagoas?

Other Plans: Someone is going to have to explain the concept of shopping to the poor eunuch, or he'll max out his monthly Taxon allowance in two days flat for accidentally walking into a pharmacy/cosmetics store and going omg there are creams that reverse aging?!?!?!?!?!

On that note: He needs outerwear. Clothes in general, as well as other essentials like rosewater and henna and stuff. Shopping tiemz nao?

Previously: Mourned Celebrated Fitz and gave Party rum and probably did some singing, talked Taxon nonsense with Scott, counseled Willow about canon bumps getting bonus memories, had a row with DG that still needs to get written, totally got over said row and was adorable with DG which also still needs to get written, adopted his brand new pet Eunuch and also (probably, need to thread) adopted Madelyne, then had his PTSD triggered by Mayland getting killed and gave Gwen a tlaking-to re: that.

You know, the usual.

Glitch Plans: WEIRDLY nothing solid. He's going t be running around with Mick trying to find a pattern and help folks who get code-napped, then get code-napped himself then team up with...people. To find a way to escape. He'll be taunted by weird nightmare horrors including tiny!DG playing on his conscience, himself playing on his confidence, and Raynz to scare the bejeebers out of him. Good times.

Other Plans: The usual not-planning-anything, which usually results in months like the last one. He'll be amused at all the green water for St. Patrick's Day, and as a result of the big glitch will be meandering the city with renewed purpose and vigor. For reasons. Also henry Higgins-ing at Bagoas.

electro_girl | Gwen Raiden

Previously: PURE, UNINHIBITED ANGST. Her powers were glitched away, and they came back at the worst moment ever: when she reached out to touch Long's hand. So she killed Long, freaked out, got PISSED, and is doing some anger/sulking thing. She's in a bad place. But she had some good conversations, and I hope more CR can happen because of it. Thank you again everyone who was a part of Gwen's unglitch! Especially my bb Dien. I appreciate it and it would have been nothing without all of you. =) the end.

Glitch Plans: Definitely. I don't even know what yet. I'm going all out, in that I have no idea what Gwen's gonna run into. I loved The Shining and the kinda random scary WTFness of that kind of haunted place, so I'll be doing stuff like that. Stuff that'll really freak her out. Kat, let's finally team up Gwen and Party to kick ass together? You know she's gonna need it.

Other Plans: Consequences of her glitch, mainly. Lots of dealing. Facing Long when he comes back. Facing Party. Facing everyone in Taxon and generally thinking they think worse of her than they (maybe) do. And More CR please. I'm excited for all of it.

Previously: She skulked around contemptuous and angry during the emotions!glitch. Perhaps fought/almost fought with Willow (sorry for being so slow on that thread!)

Glitch Plans: Stuff, definitely. I'm hoping this gets her into things a little bit more. A little more interactions that's not just her musing on the world or whatever. If someone needs help, she can definitely be around to fight stuff, not for any good intentions but just for the challenge/opportunity.

Other Plans: Hmmm....Like I said, I'm relying on the glitch, I think, to get her out there more.

Previously: Maddy arrived! That's really about it.

Glitch Plans: She's going to be worried for Scott, as he's been sucked up into it, and then maybe try to work with Charles to get him back and save the day.

Other Plans: She's still getting adjusted to living here and has been offered a place to live with Glitch. She's probably going to take him up on that at least for a little while. She needs to get her feet under her and then, maybe, sit down and talk with Scott.

Previously: Scott's been busy meeting everyone he possibly can. He's gone on patrol with Buffy and found a kindred spirit, chatted with the Ozians, met a dragon, the local FBI, a vampire, beat up Cherri for trying to grab his glasses...
And encountered his dead ex-wife, last seen driven insane by the fragmentation of her psyche as a clone. So that's complicated.
I've been assuming he's living at Casa Mutant with Charles, if Cody's cool with that?

Glitch Plans: Scott is slap bang in the middle of the glitch like only a Summers can manage. He's being haunted by the two things in this, firstly, his recent possession by ancient evil En Sabah Nur, manifesting in his creepy control of powers (sometimes) and the trademark tattooing over the face of old Pox-Lips. Secondly, his failure to save his wife or son. He may be struggling to hold control of his grasp of reality, flickering between the belief he's in Egypt modern day, ancient day, in Taxon and just dreaming at home. Reflections of horror creep from every surface and a child's laughter and screaming echoes where he walks.

I'll undoubtedly come up with some more creepies as we go along, but otherwise, no plans. Please come and help the crazy mutant?!

Other Plans: Scott will need someone to slap him awake and speaking English in the big Glitch, but I don't have any other plans, though I have a couple of threads I'd like to tie up with people.
Eventually, Scott and maddie should to meet, face to unwilling face. Maddie-mun? Cool?

I don't know how but either Gwen or Illyria can definitely be available for some helping. Mutants need to stick together! Even though she's never really been called a mutant but totally is and it's better than 'freak' so! Yeah!

Previously: She had her canon update, talked with people after that, explained things, and is now trying to deal with Tara's death. She also ran into Drusilla and Illyria at the last glitch

Glitch Plans: I'm not yet sure if she's going to stay on the outside or be one of the big damn heroes on the inside, so if anyone wants a witch on either side, let me know!

Other Plans: Don't really have anything else in mind that I can think of just yet >> Suggestions are always welcome!

Previously: Getting to know James, spending time with Helen, and dealing with an empty house :c Also she threw a going-away party for Fitz at the Dodgy Jammer and she's taken over running the place. There's definitely a Help Wanted sign up XD

Glitch Plans: She's getting so caught. Anyone willing to run into her is fine with me XD

Other Plans: She's getting canon updated after the event. Hooray, more horrors. She might be able to make a guess as to who compelled her, etc, but she'll be in dire need of medical attention and support because sob memory loss. Also issues regarding being constantly lied to. >>

Previously: She's been adjusting to the city, dealing with new things and trying to keep the whole vampire DNA thing under wraps. She ran into Buffy during the last glitch and that was not fun for her >> Might be a talk with the Slayer after that.

Glitch Plans: I'm thinking she's going to end up staying in the real world, but I'm not sure. She might end up chasing Dana or something XD who knows.

Other Plans: Don't really have any at the moment. She's still dealing with things XD Again, suggestions are welcome!

a_pretty_fire | Drusilla

Previously: After months of strolling in the false sunlight, Drusilla got an unpleasant surprise when the aliens changed the programme and it started to burn her again. She has spent a lot of the month holed up after being set on fire, licking her wounds, feeling sorry for herself and plotting revenge. (She’s may be living in the X-Mansion now? We still need to work that out.) And the city took one of her favourite pets – Fitz – away from her, which didn’t improve her mood. But she did get so hungry during the amplified emotions glitch that she fought through the pain of the chip to rip the throats out of a couple of Extras. That was fun for her.

Glitch Plans: Drusilla is going to end up on the wrong side of the glitch and find herself in the middle of a nightmare that, at first glance, doesn’t look much like a nightmare at all. It’ll consist of tea with her mother and her little sisters in the first home that she had when she was a human. And it’ll be extremely distressing because, unlike most vampires (especially the vampires that kill their human families as soon as they’ve been sired), Drusilla stills loves her human family. Family matters to her. And they were tortured and killed in impossibly horrible ways by Angelus – who she also loves – to drive her mad.

Other Plans: Drusilla definitely needs a home and a bed for herself and Miss Edith. She hasn’t had one since the Hyperion Hotel disappeared with Angel. Also, more CR. Friends, enemies, frenemies, anything. Everything.

Previously: The heightened emotions Glitch caused a great deal of trouble. She and Glitch had a fight, then got soppy (their default setting) and then tried to get back to normal. She also had a heart to heart – still in progress – with Willow about Willow’s incredibly unpleasant canon update, Tara and aaaaaangst. And she got to meet lots of nice new people. (Including Bagoas? Maybe …) And then Long died and things got unpleasant again, because Taxon is Taxon.

Glitch Plans: Nothing! Well, not nothing. DG will be staying in normal Taxon, fretting over her friends on the other side and joining Team Hero to try and get them out. Anyone want to team up with her?

Other Plans: Evil!DG. It’s been a long time since I last had the evil witch of the dark take over DG and those sorts of horrors are always worth repeating. Keri made me do it. This time, instead of a sudden shift, I’ve been toying with the idea of having it build up in the form of strange outbursts of temper and evilness, bad dreams, the witch’s voice in her head, that sort of thing. It probably won’t be happening until the tail end of the month, so thoughts would be great and anyone who wants to get involved would be very welcome.

allthatlife | Martha

Previously: Martha became a lone canon warrior when her good friend, fellow former companion and flat mate Fitz disappeared from the city. She spent most of the month trying not to show just how upset she actually was, with mixed success. She also rushed on to the scene with Long was killed and met up with lots of new people, new and old.

Glitch Plans: Thanks to whispers in the Doctor’s voice, Martha is going to find herself back in the year that never was. The Earth will be a veritable wasteland with the small number of humans that managed to survive the Master’s purged living as slaves and exhausting themselves to build the weapons for his imminent intergalactic war. She was the leader of the resistance and saw some horrible sights as she made her way across the planet to try and bring the Master down. Then, towards the end, she will be teaming up with Briar (and Bagoas, I think?) to try and get out of there.

Other Plans: Well, there will definitely be angst after she relives the worst year of her life. And she’s going to bond with Briar some more / try and help him deal with his PTSD. She’ll also be treating anyone who needs a doctor for any reason, because that is what she does.

killtheparty | Party Poison

Previously: Party's been happier than a pig in shit. He's barely let go of Gwen (if'n that's cool with Stephanie), and he's also met Bagoas and Scott, and given Scott a bit of a cold shoulder (sob I'm sorry about that). He's also looking for Kobra, who seemingly has disappeared.

Glitch Plans: Following either Grace or Kobra to badtimes. I'm thinking he has a showdown with Korse!

Before that, though, he's helping Bagoas and (I think?) Gwen. Rescuing Bagoas all super hero like and whatnot, and then making sure his crush is okay.

Other Plans: PARTY'S GUN. I want it fixed. I think Gwen can do this (I'll ping you modtypes in a few seconds) because it's all electricity, but we'll see.

Also, mailbox. Jet Star and Kobra Kid are gone, Fitz has left and Party's been putting off mourning/coping with that shit.He's probably going to try to mourn them the proper killjoy way, as if they were dead.


Cherri Cola and Dwight: Honestly, I've been lacking a lot with them and as much as I love playing cherri, I think I'm going to have to drop him for now. It's the same with Dwight... I have AMAZING CR with him but I think I've lost the muse. I might re-app him when season 3 of Haven comes out, though...idk. but I think Taxon's gonna have to say goodbye to these guys.

I'm sure Kobra's loss is gonna hit him hard, and since Gwen knew him more than Jet Star, they can wallow in misery (and probably deal with it NOT WELL) together. <3
