Hello, players of Taxon, Keri here. I am posting to inform you that once Dien has returned from her hiatus, I will be stepping down as a moderator. At this time I think this will be a temporary action, but it could become permanent. For now think of it as a indefinite mod-hiatus, or leave of modly absence.

I've been a mod of this game for two and a half years, and right now I've hit the burnout event horizon. My emotional state regarding the game has become describable as "sort of a bit totally miserable," has very seriously impacted my ability to play, and I just generally need a break. Not good for me, and really not good for all of you, so after consulting with my co-mods I've decided this will be the best course of action.

This DOES NOT mean I'm dropping, oh no, I'll still be here with Glitch and maybe someone else if I ever finish their app. For now we're in Sofo and Dien's loving, gentle, brilliant hands and I am full of confidence in them.

I've been in moderator burnout before and it really is a special kind of hell. I thought I could keep going and end ed up not playing anywhere for a few years. Take your time and do what you need to do.

This is all very over my head and not my business, but I figure: it's only a game, it's a hobby, and if it's not fun for you to run you shouldn't feel obliged to it at all. ♥ Hope you feel better and glad you're taking a much-needed break.
