MEME HO!

That's a nautical term, ftr, like LAND HO! (which, due to the involvement of land, doesn't really sound nautical - but it totally is) but if you wanted to interpret it as 'this meme is brought to you by Dele, who is also a ho', well, I'm sure I would have difficulty finding anyone around here to strenuously disagree on my behalf. Anyway, I love this shit so, this show: let us get it on the road.

WELCOME TO TAXON'S CR MEME!
  • Comment to this post listing your characters.
  • Other people will then reply to your comment requesting some epic TL;DR about how your characters feel about theirs.
  • Maybe talk about how you feel, OOCly, about the direction of their interaction or what makes this CR really powerful, tragic, or perhaps just straight up wildly lulzy.
  • Since we p. much always have new folks coming in, if your characters are so new they still need spanking, feel free to use this as an opportunity to ~*discuss potential*~.
  • It will be epic.

  • Christopher Walken believes in the beautiful, unvarnished truth. Don't disappoint him, bbs.

Godric thinks Doul has a very peaceful presence. He's very calming to talk to, and he likes that the two of them can just do something silently together without any expectations of chattering. It's much like a meditation. Doul is still very much a mystery, but Godric finds that discovering what secrets lay beneath Doul's exterior isn't so very important, because Doul is straightforward and honest, and that's enough. Godric feels no need to drill him about anything personal, though he would be happy to be trusted with the information if Doul chose to share it. The one thing he is actively curious about is Doul's relationship with the Brucolac, but he's not going to pry.

As for Hermes, Godric is still a little stunned. His impression at this point is basically, "...A real god. Seriously?" He's gotten the impression from that last tag that Hermes is well-versed in wearing masks, but that doesn't necessarily bother him. He's also itching to ask Hermes some questions, or share a conversation about How Things Used To Be, but he's hesitant because he's not sure what the etiquette is. Vampires are big on etiquette, and he has no idea how he's supposed to properly interact with a god.

I touched on a lot of this with Glitch's Thoguhts On Petra but... aww, this is sweet.

And I am going to regret falling down on the Ambrose thing forever, SIGH. Still, Glitch knows more than he used to about who he was (...what even, logic) so their next meeting will be enlightening.

WELL Buffy is... warming to Godric. Obviously after the epic beatdown and subsequent kidnapping she pretty much hated his guts, but following their conversation during her happy!glitch, she got a sort of... new perspective on vampires in general and Godric more specifically.

I think at the moment she's come to the realization that he's actually... pretty okay. Maybe even nice, considering the way he advised her on dealing with the new powers, and the way he's upheld their truce. And this is BIG progress for her, because vampires and nice? Two alien concepts, (with the exception of Spike and Angel of course). So yes, she's actually... weirdly starting to like him. Of course there's a LOT of wariness and on-guard type feelings still, but I think she's developed a certain respect for him, even if they're not ~friends~.

SO YES I think that covers it.

Oh, Glitch. Buffy really likes glitch. She finds him adorable and funny and a conversation with him often alleviates any sort of bad mood she might have been experiencing. Also, his capacity for ridiculous nonsensical banter makes him spectacular, because there are few people who will go along with her to that extent. He never makes her feel weird or self-conscious, and that is also lovely. She does worry about him occasionally, even though he's very capable, but she recognizes that the whole 'half a brain' thing has to be... challenging. At any rate, he's one of her favourite people that she's met in Taxon.

    The Doctor!

    OOOOKAY tl;dr here we come!

Buffy on Kirk: Well, she is sort of horribly in love with him. As we all know, her relationship issues are abundant, but every time she's worried about something he defies her expectactions-- an example of this is the fact that (unlike Riley), he's not threatened/made to feel inferior by the fact that she has superpowers. This is one of the things she loves about him, because he doesn't make her feel... guilty or wrong for being how she is. He accepts her and makes her feel like a normal girl, which is what she's always wanted. At the same time, however, he also makes her feel very special, WITHOUT all the insane amounts of angst she's been through with other boyfriends. THAT SAID it's not as if their relationship is always perfect, they've had their share of bumpy times, but she really really loves him, and he's good for her. He's pretty much the reason why she's not trying very hard to get out of Taxon these days-- if he ever left, she'd be heartbroken.

Buffy on Angel: It's always difficult where Angel is concerned. Buffy's always felt like the two of them were destined to be together, and that ~one day~ they'd find each other again. She loved him more deeply than she's ever loved anyone (romantically, anyway), and she still has feelings for him- which probably won't ever go away. However, now that she's so hopelessly in love with Kirk, these feelings are very much buried. It still stings for her to see him with Cordelia, but she's coming to terms with that gradually. She'd like it if she and Angel could talk more- because Angel is still important to her, even if they're not involved in that way anymore. He's always been a rock to her at times when she's felt lost, and it saddens her that they haven't been able to put the awkwardness aside in Taxon, because she values his advice and his guidance. She'd like to prove Spike wrong and manage to actually be friends with Angel, in spite of everything.

while I tl;dr I might as well comment here haha

    [identity profile] demonmagnetism.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Xander on Kirk: Forget Buffy, Xander would like to date Kirk. Okay no, that's an exaggeration, but Xander thus far approves of Kirk as a boyfriend choice. He's always been a champion of Buffy not dating UNDEAD FIENDS, so the fact that Kirk is human earns him points-- as well as the fact that he captains a freaking SPACESHIP, which appeals to all his nerd tendencies. Admittedly there's some wariness, because he's very protective of Buffy, but at the same time he recognizes that it's not REALLY his business, and he's willing to give Kirk the benefit of the doubt- provided he stops pissing Dawn off. Ahem.

Xander on Angel: Not a fan. Never has been, never will be. Xander fundamentally distrusts Angel, and more or less thinks that he's a ticking timebomb of woe and disaster. All of this dates back to Xander's crush on Buffy/jealousy and then Angel's subsequent soul-losing rampage. He has never liked the guy, and Angel hasn't given him any reasons to change his opinion. The fact that Angel is now dating Cordelia doesn't help-- not only is Cordy his ex, but he thinks Angel will end up hurting her, just like he did to Buffy. In short: dislike. Lots and lots of it.

    *cracks knuckles and preps tl;dr*

    [identity profile] trainedprat.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Arthur on Kirk: WELL his first impression of Kirk was that he was crazy, because of the whole 'aliens' thing, but he's since learned that Kirk isn't the only one to suggest such things. Therefore the Captain is just... slightly odd and amusingly fanboyish in Arthur's view. He'd happily talk to him again, and perhaps be less rude...

    [identity profile] beholdthedrums.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oooooooh Doctor. Always, always, always will the Master give him crap - he does not want to think there could be any other options. He hates the Doctor in so many ways: hates what it did to him after he lost the other Doctor, hates how he even thought he could replicate the Doctor, hates that he actually wanted to and good god wanted to punch him after he arrived (instead he kinda tore apart most of that experimental equipment, oops). And oooh the Doctor has a spine. He really dislikes hates that :D

Buuuut he can't kill the Doctor - this proven already. He'd never admit (at least to anyone except maybe River) that he needs the Doctor, sure, but Taxon would pretty much suck without him. The fact that he actually let the Doctor near the drums kind of irks him, and it's very unlikely he'll let him near them again anytime soon.

And added to the list of "things not to tell the Doctor" is the fact that he also won't risk anything happening that would critically injure him. IE - the Doctor can trust him in his Let's-Destroy-Taxon plan because he doesn't want to chance Taxon not giving him another Doctor :|

Yana trusts the Doctor. How long that last is dependent on whether or not the Doctor convinces him to "do him a favor" :D; Iffff that happens Yana'll feel terribly betrayed (and probably think his people dying at Utopia was the Doctor's doing :|), and of course the Master will be ticked that he missed out. ALL HYPOTHETICAL OF COURSE. /o/

oh and the Master totally picks up on your 'subtext' Doctor, he just tries very hard to not notice it, same as the last 900+ years haha

/tl;dr and likely coming off with weird wording, ah well

    Petrana & Morgana.

    [identity profile] magicalskeptic.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana is impressed by Trixie because she's both a warrior, and a medic. This means the utmost respect, but because of only one conversation, there isn't much more of an impression.

    [identity profile] magicalskeptic.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely mutual perplexity. She's got a really, really positive impression of her canon's version of Mordred, so she'll give you more of a chance.

And, if we can, pandas are good.

She knows nothing about her, other than the fact that she seems to be the one with the most knowledge about the objects. She's appalled by her language, but would soften a bit if Enfys told Morgana how awesome Judith is.
