Sofie here with two announcements!
First off, I'll be going on a brief but bodacious field trip with the old Mothership tomorrow morning (going to IKEA which is a damn heck of a distance away), and won't be home until tomorrow evening at the earliest. So this is me calling a tiny slowaitus.
Second and most important of all: Guess who has a new pup? I DO! :D
Okay, so, this is Mick St. John of Moonlight, which is yet another somewhat low key but delightful series that sadly was cancelled due to the writer's strike a few years ago.
However! You can find Mick's app oh gawd I'm horrible with html, here, and I'll be filling out his permissions meme shortly.
I do have some ideas for a teeny plot line to introduce him into the city proper and such. As I have stated very clearly in the application, Moonlight vamps can't survive on anything but human blood, emphasis on human - hence, hatched blood/Extra blood won't quite do the trick. It will stave off hunger, which is a Good Thing, but won't actually lend much in way of nutrition and healing capabilities and so on and so forth. In Moonlight, the need for blood is sometimes likened to a drug addiction - and I'll take that point of reference and run with it. In addition to that, the Taxon sun will be just as harmful as the sun of his own world.
One important note: Mick does only very rarely feed off living humans. 95% of his blood, he gets from a friend at the Los Angeles morgue.
So, while Mick will at first seem like a perfectly regular human being (if a touch sun sensitive), the lack of blood will take its toll. In a matter of weeks, he will get to a point where the hunger gets to be too much - the hatched blood isn't working, and Extra blood is just as worthless. He'll realize he's heading for disaster, hole himself up somewhere and issue a city wide red alert.
Yes. I am planning to put him in a rather sticky situation. >:3
Thoughts? Suggestions? Gifs?
((Edited for html fail, btw.))

Seriously, I just want to get as much character relationships started as I can before I get into that plot. So I'll be posting his intro post tonight (and get back to you on yours shortly) and work a bit on that. Please do tag that as well. :)
And thank you! <3

I will do! :D All the CR ever. I want it all.

All the CR ever. I think that'll be my new motto.

But. Yeah. She'll be ready when it happens.

...no, lol. Um. I still need to watch more canon but I AM EXCITE, Mick is looking to be a different sort of critter than Taxon is accustomed to.

Yeah, I really like what the writers did with the vampire mythos. It's the same but different. And I want to keep with the different part of the equation. >:3
News at eleven: Sofie is evil to her PCs.

And I applaud your commitment to the limitations, which are fabulous and make sense ♥

I do think they are, at that. And I'll make sure to exploit them to the fullest.
And should you happen to get any ideas re: above mentioned plot, just gimme a shout out.
...I mean, who better than to build a vampire trapping device, at said vampire's request than the Inventor Ninja. Right?
no subject
And plots. Plots are good, I am in favor, whether of the trapping or Ambassador of Good Will Horrors variety.
no subject
Do we want to go with that, or?

I'd rather not have him bite anyone unless it's really well planned out, both as a scene itself, and how to deal with the aftermath. But! I am certainly open for suggestions.
Maybe there could be a short scene where Party and Mick are discussing getting the Hell out, and all of a sudden Party's hair looks entirely too tasty. And wouldya lookit those veins in his neck. Self restraint = GO GO GO!

I'm interested to see how this will play out! It's late and I'm not braining at full capacity right now, but I'd gladly get Katherine here involved - if only in a "let's poke at things a bit with a stick for my own amusement" kind of way. She's very curious about things that may potentially stir up some havoc, unfortunately. :/ So if nothing else, she'd probably at least keep an eye on him and see what happens?

And hey, like I said in a comment up above I want all the CR ever. Including the one that is for the amusement of another character, who's curious about havoc wreaking stuff.
I love that Mick's sort of counter intuitive, as a vampire. He doesn't always do what you expect, or for the reasons you think would make sense. He's very much human in that sense.
Or, well, he wants to be.

Which isn't to say I expect Katherine to let Mick in on her own self being a vampire. But still, I can see heated debates. :D
Since Moonlight vamps are so different from other canons, I think it's safe to say neither type vamp will recognize the other as such. Y/N/cookies?

Also, Katherine's been having a bad week and with the people she was mostly upholding the cover of being just a regular human now gone, she won't bother hiding the fact for much longer. Plus she's kind of volatile and impulsive and might, like... snap an Extra's neck in a fit of temper one of those days soon. Or something. :/ In a nutshell, her vampire status won't be a secret for much longer. I'll make a post in the ooc comm about it beforehand for planning purposes and such.
Yep, this sounds good to me! TVD vamps are also a bit out of the norm physically in that they have a beating heart, they need to breathe and so on which makes them very similar to regular humans as long as they keep a steady blood diet. So yes, unconventional vamps unite. XD
no subject
And ooh, Extra beatings! Mick will probably maul an unfortunate Extra at the end of this month, right before he holes himself up somewhere. Seriously, more people need to take out their frustrations at the Extras.
See? This is what I miss by thinking I can't keep up with all the vampire shows! ~fistbump~ To quote aforementioned best buddy from Moonlight, "Vampire solidarity. Rah rah rah, and all that".
