Sofie here with two announcements!

First off, I'll be going on a brief but bodacious field trip with the old Mothership tomorrow morning (going to IKEA which is a damn heck of a distance away), and won't be home until tomorrow evening at the earliest. So this is me calling a tiny slowaitus.

Second and most important of all: Guess who has a new pup? I DO! :D

Okay, so, this is Mick St. John of Moonlight, which is yet another somewhat low key but delightful series that sadly was cancelled due to the writer's strike a few years ago.

However! You can find Mick's app oh gawd I'm horrible with html, here, and I'll be filling out his permissions meme shortly.

I do have some ideas for a teeny plot line to introduce him into the city proper and such. As I have stated very clearly in the application, Moonlight vamps can't survive on anything but human blood, emphasis on human - hence, hatched blood/Extra blood won't quite do the trick. It will stave off hunger, which is a Good Thing, but won't actually lend much in way of nutrition and healing capabilities and so on and so forth. In Moonlight, the need for blood is sometimes likened to a drug addiction - and I'll take that point of reference and run with it. In addition to that, the Taxon sun will be just as harmful as the sun of his own world.

One important note: Mick does only very rarely feed off living humans. 95% of his blood, he gets from a friend at the Los Angeles morgue.

So, while Mick will at first seem like a perfectly regular human being (if a touch sun sensitive), the lack of blood will take its toll. In a matter of weeks, he will get to a point where the hunger gets to be too much - the hatched blood isn't working, and Extra blood is just as worthless. He'll realize he's heading for disaster, hole himself up somewhere and issue a city wide red alert.

Yes. I am planning to put him in a rather sticky situation. >:3

Thoughts? Suggestions? Gifs?

Sweet, a new kind of vampire. Very exciting! :3

I'm interested to see how this will play out! It's late and I'm not braining at full capacity right now, but I'd gladly get Katherine here involved - if only in a "let's poke at things a bit with a stick for my own amusement" kind of way. She's very curious about things that may potentially stir up some havoc, unfortunately. :/ So if nothing else, she'd probably at least keep an eye on him and see what happens?

Excellent! I'm a fan of all kind of CR as well, both positive and a bit less positive in tone. I have a feeling Mick and Katherine may not quite see eye-to-eye on some (mostly related to the vampiric stuff, from what I surmised from reading Mick's app) things once everything is out in the open, and I must say I'm quite looking forward to how it will shape up. :)

That sounds like an interesting spin which I'm certainly looking forward to! All the debates will be welcome. :)

Also, Katherine's been having a bad week and with the people she was mostly upholding the cover of being just a regular human now gone, she won't bother hiding the fact for much longer. Plus she's kind of volatile and impulsive and might, like... snap an Extra's neck in a fit of temper one of those days soon. Or something. :/ In a nutshell, her vampire status won't be a secret for much longer. I'll make a post in the ooc comm about it beforehand for planning purposes and such.

Yep, this sounds good to me! TVD vamps are also a bit out of the norm physically in that they have a beating heart, they need to breathe and so on which makes them very similar to regular humans as long as they keep a steady blood diet. So yes, unconventional vamps unite. XD
