How's My Driving?

Hey Taxon, it is Friday, and we're kicking off the weekend with an HMD!

Please comment here with the names of the characters you play and others will reply with their feedback- and it's obviously a given that this feedback will be helpful, constructive and respectful. Also, as amazing as getting "OMG ILU!" comments is, it's nice to hear why and what we're doing right, just as much as criticism needs to be constructive. Participation is also entirely optional, and if you have any issues just let a mod know and we'll help out as much as we can. There is also a top comment for any questions, comments, crit, and compliments for the mods and the game itself.

Notes: Long just got a new place to live FINALLY and I think that may help me get him more active and involved again. He's also going to be working on actually 'publishing' his restaurant guide to Taxon, lol, so if anybody wants threads of the 'let's sample food while Long talks your ear off' variety, I'm down with that like tango.

Notes: I'm sure everyone's shocked but yeah, burn-out issues with Paul. Which have been a problem for ~~six months~~ a while now. I'm working on trying to poke him out into the city, get him talking with all these wonderful new characters.

Character: Jason Blood |

Notes: I'm still having brand-spanking-new character buzz, so that's fun. Really enjoying the interactions he's had so far with people in Taxon, looking forward to more. Magic expert is in the house, so I hope some plot stuff can breed out of that-- maybe helping Remus with his lycanthropy if Jemi's up for it? Magic talk with Az and/or DG? Allll the things.

Long: I barely know him and rarely see him. I'd like to change this.

Smecker: I love him, but I admit, his delayed thread with Remus put me in a bit of a spot, justifying why Remus had been out and about when he knew just how much of a threat he was. But I enjoy threads when they happen and I know burnout sucks.

Jason: I'm up for trying to help with the lycanthropy, though Remus is probably going to be very wary about the Dark Magic. I really liked our thread with Jason and Remus and I love the poetry you come up with.

It can be slow, but I do enjoy playing with you a lot.

I owe you a definite apology for that thing with Smecker and Remus, especially as it's JUST the sort of thing I've become frustrated for other people doing in the past-- having a major revelation or event or something happen in a backtag that I now have to try and figure out how to retcon to make sense for my character in the month of game play that has happened since then. So, my definite bad there, I wasn't thinking that one through well enough. >__<

I'm trying to speed up the tags-- thanks for the kind words on our play so far though!

And slow on Jason makes sense since you have to write poetry for every time Etrigan pokes his head out.

My only complaint is the obvious: NOT ENOUGH! But that can't always be helped, alas, and I'll take what I can get. We're all guilty of that from time to time, and I know I've dropped a thread or two of ours if a lot of time has passed, simply because I can't even get into that mindset anymore and it feels like moving backwards, but that's just as much my fault.

I love every assessment you make about Gwen/Long because I can also totally imagine them having a nice off-screen bond. Dinners, maybe a home visit or two, swapping stories (the occasional wry reference to a certain electrocution, I'm sure, just to make Gwen itchy). We should definitely expand upon that onscreen, I agree.

I was kind of in that super busy time when Jason came into the fold so I haven't really been able to keep up or tag the intro. But as soon as things settle down a bit, I will.

I'm tryin' to get back in gear. <3 And I hear you on the old threads, it's definitely a problem that I've contributed to, and I'm-a try and do better.

Pssh Jason is still brand new, you've not missed a thing.

I will tell you this. A friend and I were discussing once that your Smecker is why I would want to play one of the brothers and yet would be afraid to. The way you handle Paul is utterly fantastic and spot on.

I don't know Jason from canon but he is a wonderful character and I am so impressed by the way you write Jason and his other half. I definitely look forward to him and Az talking shop.

As for Long, none of my muses have met him and I would adore changing that. I've seen him around and read some of his threads and find him a delight.
