Hey hey, Sof here with Taxon's only resident ancient person/historical figure.

Bagoas will be acting the classic damsel in distress/object of moral dilemma in the middle of the nasty storm. He'll go overboard.

Now, rather than just me posting that comment and waiting on whoever gets there first to try to save him his sorry ass, I thought I'd put the mini plot out there.

We have a fair number of hero types onboard, but also a bunch of grey hats, and some who can't be properly labelled.

If you want in on any of this, up to and including some kind of rescue and the aftermath thereof (or bring up the most pragmatic, rationally sound solution: to leave him), comment below and we'll figure something out. :)

Although Gwen will be busy getting hit by lightning a shitload of times, I'd be willing to throw her out there for the little more grey, callous "leave him, idiots" approach! Especially because a.) she doesn't know Bagoas that well. b.) she's not the biggest team player ever and bases survival on all else and c.) serving as the lightning rod will make her feel like she's doing all this to save the ship and they're just opting to it away to save one guy.

Would any character back her up on this? IDK how busy she'll be with the lightning stuff but she can always take a much-needed break for some bitching.

I can throw Maddy for it. She'd happily attempt to save him, especially as she can a) find him and b) grab him. She's attempting to talk to everyone on the ship (sans Jason) all at once, so she may well notice the *FLAIL BOAT ACK WATER*, though triangulation via telepathy is not a simple game.

Especially amidst lightning and everyone else running about all crazy-like.

She could notice Josef's very loud panic and go from there. I'd love to see some new CR, some old CR, some collaboration and teamwork (or the opposite). Plus, since Maddy knows Bagoas, she'd know what to look for in the water.

I'm gone for the weekend, but if cold is a contributing factor in his medical issues, Kitten can manage to heat air to something less than fire-temperature. I'm sure she could handle comfortably warm, with no flames involved in summoning it up. She can also probably dry him off with a spell.

(She will be already be hiding below deck wishing she could DO something but knowing she'd be more of a hindrance than a help given she can't swim, can't scale rigging as easily, isn't that strong, etc. She's ridiculously overpowered in some respects, but storms are not something Kitten's good against.)
