HOW YOU DOIN' TONIGHT DETROIT TAXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON? ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?

All right, rock star wannabe moment over, and onto the topic of the day. We've noticed some confusion over how pause glitches work, so this here post would be a handy-dandy How-To guide for both sides of the equation.

If you pause glitch your character, when the glitch ends they'll be returned to the exact spot they left, with no idea any time has passed at all.

That's the simple part. We hope you're ready for some tl;dr because if your character has a paused glitched acquaintance, here's how it works for them:

They won't have any idea the pause glitched character is missing at all. They won't make assumptions about their whereabouts or wonder what's up and where they've gotten off to, because the aliens tamper with the programming re: the glitched character to make their absence something the other characters who know them (whether well or just in passing) just gloss over.

For the entirety of the glitch, people just find themselves not thinking about that character in terms of 'hmmm, odd that I haven't seen/spoken to them in a while, I should see what's up' and simply sliding over thoughts of them and moving right on with their day. They might think, for example, "I should go see Bobby Joe later today." Then they don't see Bobby Joe, and through Hamster Magic they don't find that strange at all. He's just around the next bend in the road, they can check up later. And later, and later, and through the bend in programming the passage of time isn't mentally seen as upsetting or worrying. Call it a mental blind spot with a dose of compulsion, if you will.

Then, when the glitch is over, that stop is removed and the character upon thought will realize that... hey, it is weird that they didn't see the other character for so long. And it's even weirder that they never worried or wondered where their friend was for the entire duration of the glitch.

And lo, hamster-damning and anger can commence!

We hope that clarified things, and if you have any other questions drop them here and we'll hop quick to answer them like little bunnies.

AND REMEMBER KIDS: TAG YOUR POSTS OR EVEN KISS WON'T BE ABLE TO SAVE SANTA.
