I settle down to tag tonight and what should I discover but that my laptop adapter seems to be missing. :-\

I'm stuck on battery power for the nonce, so computer time will be minimal until I find or replace the stupid thing (or break down and figure out how to get my PC re-connected to the interwebz). Sorry if I'm slow for a bit!

I've tried to keep going at the pace I was but with work being the way it is right now, I find that I am a Kat with very little brain when I get home these days. I will be tagging still - just not quite at the rate I have been up until now.

I still love you all and I'm not going anywhere. Right now, my brain is almost entirely focused on things that are work. I should be able to shift gears back down again in about two weeks - give or take a few days

Still sick, no news there. However, I just had a call from a friend concerning a mutual friend of ours, who's had a stroke. He's had surgery yesterday/last night, and he's to be kept sedated over the weekend. We don't know much past that.

So yeah. Might still get in a tag or two here and there, but my mind's elsewhere for the duration.

You may have heard of my month long dust with this weird thing between a common bout of cold and the nasty nasty flu - that thing that would never go anywhere, just seemed to hover in my system?

Yeah, not anymore.

Sunday morning I woke up with a bad case of the flu. Since then, every day has brought with it an added bonus of craptasticness. Last night and today was nonstop coughing.

Funny how you don't appreciate breathing before you can't do it.

Long story short: I'm still sick, still coughing up a storm (but pumped up on cough medicines so I can breathe...ish), and I just can barely brain tags right now.

I might do one here or there, but I can't make any promises. I'm perfectly glacial at the moment.

Having said that - if you want my tags somewhere and it's been a while, please gimme links. I have a fishbowl memory even on a good day, and it is entirely on me. Sorry about that.

The next few weeks are gonna be rough as I'm completely bogged down with work stuff and just generally mentally exhausted at the end of the days, so I'm gonna go ahead and announce an official "HI I'M GONNA BE SCARCE AND SLOW" disclaimer. for a couple weeks I know I've got a bunch of owed tags, particularly in Arya's intro, and I'll get to them as soon as I can, I promise! OFFICIALLY DECLARING MYSELF ON SLOWIATUS/BORDERLINE HIATUS.

Because... I've been slow as it is, but I leave for the airport in 12 hours to go to my study abroad program. If I ever accidentally write part of a tag in Spanish in the next month and a half, that means I've achieved fluency and started thinking in Spanish. (I'm ~~mostly~~ joking. Unless I'm really tired, I would notice the language switch. Really really tired.)

Hey, Taxon! Just a heads up that I'll be scarce for the next ~~forever~~ week and a half. It's finals week, plus I've got a swing dance convention to attend this weekend. I'm dancing 8 days out of the next 9, actually, on top of my schoolwork. XD (Dance is lovely, but oh gosh, my legs are not prepared for this abuse!) And then my boyfriend and best friend have laid claim to me for the following few days.

Also, advance warning, I have an extended semi-hiatus coming up for the whole month of June; I'll be studying abroad and busy trying to get my brain to think in Spanish. Plus, you know, enjoying Spain when I'm not in class. I will likely not give up tagging or RP entirely, but I will be trying not to start too many new threads (aside from a big dinner for Briar's birthday, or threads that have already been planned) between now and then.

I expect you'll make that pretty difficult, since you all have such shiny characters and I want threads with everyone.

Just letting you guys know I'm gonna be at a conference the coming two days, which...really doesn't mean much, aside from the fact I'll only have time to tag in the late evenings.

Okay, hi everyone. This is Sofie, also known as Sofo, sometimes known as Sochan irl. Since October went up in a kasplosion of what I'll be referring to as The Perrenial Cold What Never Ends, I found myself dropping an insane amount of threads which had potential to be even more awesome than they already were. And while I told myself it was okay, I wasn't well and so on, I still feel bad.

So.

Any and all scenes and tags I owe you guys, link me to them, and I'll be getting my big tush back in gear and tag away. Also, if you would rather handwave and focus on November things, that's perfectly fine with me. I have been slow with tags last few days and will..... be slow a day or so more, sorry! My grandmother is going into hospital to have a pacemaker doohick thing implanted. Between laptop failure, livejournal failure, exam revision and some unidentified flu type type thing, I've been moving at a snail's pace lately. I'm feeling a lot better now - and I'm 99% certain that I've fixed the problem with my computer - so just bear with me while I try and catch up on the tags I owe and everything else I've managed to miss. It might take a while.

(I'll throw myself into the fourth wall event ASAP, I promise.)

The Wheel of Hiatus got spun again in the mod clubhouse and landed on me this time. As I mentioned in the State of the Taxon I've been fighting burnout with forced activity and it's not gone well (Emma, you were right and gloating is permitted), so this is an official "it's not you, it's me!" statement.

FOR OUTSTANDING THREADS: 90% of the time right now I'm staring at my tags and going "....uh", which has not been helped by LJ getting DDoS'd on the days I feel like tagging. I will try and take advantage of today and bash stuff out, but it's going to be a long slog until I get my groove back and I love you all for your patience. If you want to talk things out in this post re: how threads will go, that'd be awesome and I am all for it. Plotting might actually grease the wheels a bit.

FOR NEW POSTS: I probably won't be tagging in unless I lose all impulse control and / or it'd be REALLY weird if I didn't. Basically I'm giving my castmates godmoding rights for the month.

Sooooooooooo I kind of... wrongfully assumed I would be back in the tagging saddle by now but very obviously I was wrong. :/ Long story minus all the poor me details and made short I re-aggravated an old back injury, and assumed it would clear up in a week or so. However, I seem to have broken myself fairly seriously, and between the steroids and the Vicodin I'm taking daily my ability to tag has taken a drastic turn for the 'lol no, not ever'.

I'm going to do my very best to work through it and tag whenever I can-- because I won't lie, the distraction is great when I can do it-- but as this doesn't seem to have a set (or even close) end date in sight I wanted to update my hiatus to reflect that. (And thank you SO MUCH for posting that for me earlier, Rumi.) I also want say that since my tagging is going to be awful and I know it, if we have close (or indeed, any) CR and you want to know what anyone on my roster would be saying or doing in general or response to your characters so you can carry on ICly, one hundred percent get ahold of me via my email/IM/PM (hell, add me on plurk, idc) and I will give you all the tl;dr so my fail doesn't screw your pretendy fun times.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I BEG OF YOU ASK ME STUFF I feel like such a mess of fail right now and answering questions is well within my realm of doable.

ANYWAY YES for anything else non-specific, my folks will be doing the usual and their castmates/friends can godmod them going about their business accordingly.
