HOW'S TAXON'S DRIVING

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN, FAIR CITIZENS! And early, too, for your additional convenience!
Your modly types wait in breathless anticipation for your input on how we're doing things and what you'd like to see in the game in the weeks and months to come. This kind of input is, of course, always wanted; this meme is just to serve as a more public discussion for the whole playerbase to be a part of rather than suggestions or criticisms that are handled on a more individual basis.
Less generally, there are some specific issues we'd like to bring to your attention so we can discuss them together.
- THE WIKI: When wikia first forced the layout change, we slapped together some CSS to eliminate as much of the wider sidebar as we could while keeping necessary elements visible. However, it's come to our attention that the CSS we're using makes these elements (most importantly the search box) completely un-clickable.
Our options with this are to either a) leave it as it is and make no changes, which will leave the search box unusable but let us keep the wider space for the actual wiki content; or b) bring the wide sidebar back and change the width of the character infoboxes to eliminate the smushed feeling pages get. What say you? Is there a third option we haven't considered yet?
- THE WIKI FRONT PAGE: Speaking of the wiki! Our front page is in dire need of a makeover, and we'd like to know what information you'd most like to see there. We're already planning on dedicating a section as a link directory, much like the one we have [here], but there's a lot of space there and we want to make sure we fill it with things that will be useful to you.
- JUNE'S GLITCH AND THE TAXON MAP: We're gearing up to make some big changes to the layout of the city, and instead of just handwaving it we've got a plan for a glitch that will give us some extra time to implement changes and generally be a fun, if big, event for you to participate in.
First off, we've made a new city map using a grid instead of dots to make adding and taking away locations much easier. We're also taking this chance to establish a more firm sense of the city's size and "shuffle" locations around between districts. As far as what will happen in-game goes, the Aliens will take it upon themselves to switch things up to stave off stagnation and stick everyone inside the Sanctuary for a period of time while they reprogram the city around them.
Before we get any further into planning this, how long do you want the characters to be stuck inside the Sanctuary? It can be as short as one week or as long as the entire month. If the glitch runs long, do you think we should do something else with it? We have a small event-ish thing that would work well being confined to the one building (it involves characters having to raise fake robot babies), but we can always hold off on that if you think it would be too much at once. We're also open to suggestions if robot babies don't do it for you but you'd still like an additional event while your characters are cooped up. As for the map, are there any specific locations you'd like us to add? A particular way you want us to list locations on the map's wiki page? Also, do you want us to completely randomize locations' movements or do you want the option to choose where your stuff goes?
Any, every idea of concern you have on any aspect of the game, we want to hear it. Anonymous commenting, as with the regular HMD, is on should you feel more comfortable voicing your concerns without being logged-in. Also, if you're not comfortable raising a concern in this post for whatever reason, please use the complaints or suggestions posts, where all the comments are screened for your privacy and IP logging is off.
We also ask that you keep your discussions civil, and avoid deleting comments if you can! Debate and disagreement is all well and good, and we want to hear ALL THE THOUGHTS EVER because you guys are smart and have wonderful insights, but if a thread here gets too heated we will freeze it and let cooler heads prevail.

Some general things we'd like most to hear back about to give you a good jumping off point:
What kinds of system glitches and events do you want to see? More silly, more serious? Have you got an idea for a glitch not listed here? Do you want to have more mod-generated plots and events or less? Would you like more locations added to the city, and if so, what kinds? Are there any changes to in-game systems (jobs, item petitions, tablets, etc.) that you’d like to see implemented, or do you see any problems in those systems that you think we should work on solving? Do you need any help from us getting involved in something or making your own plot happen?
