Hi guys, Sofo here with an update on the current plot shenanigans.
Remember how we set a tentative close date for the plot? Scratch that, we have even better ideas for plot wrap now! :D
* the dino plot will be wrapped whenever the dinos have all been rounded up or disposed of, shall we say, at which the hamsters will reward their darlingsubjects lab rats guests with...
Well, you'll find out soon enough.
* the body swappery, though... Characters may have wrongly assumed that the two events were linked, and that getting rid of the dinosaurs would bring an end to the swap as well. This couldn't be farther from the truth. So, you (they) may ask yourself (themselves): what then?
Not to reveal all, but you might want to consider the old native American proverb of walking in another's shoes for this or that many miles...
Stay cool, or warm, everyone! Have fun, and remember to tag your posts!
PS: If you have any questions or comments, please leave them here.
DS: Talk amongst yourselves, plot away. :3
Edit: As some of you have wondered what happens if/when a swappee dies, we've come up with an answer other than "...hmm, good question!".
So your character meets a messy end at the extremities of a dino. What then?
Call it a system error, a bug, or the hamsters poking fun at you - swapped characters are zapped right back near instantly after death. ICly speaking, it will feel like that disconcerting, falling sensation you get when you jerk yourself awake right as you're dozing off. And then?
Then they're back to the safest place they were right before things went downhill.
Example: Character A gets speared by a dino horn on its way from point a to point b. A gets an epic death, only to fade out and fade in safely on the sidewalk, just about to cross the street while the horn'ed dino keeps walking over there.
Did it really happen? Did s/he just imagine it? Was it a creepy case of déjà vu? Not if you ask bystander characters ;3
Q: What about the programmed possession penalty for in-game deaths?
A: That is still in play for this plot, so please keep that in mind.
And hey. The instant re-insertion into Taxon is a freebie enough, right?
... ... ...right? :3
